No one in the world can disagree with the importance and significance of drinking water. It is equally substantial for the survival of adults and younger ones. But let’s focus on how much daily intake of water is necessary for kids. Researches suggest that kids of age 5 to 8 years should drink 4 to 5 glasses of water daily. Yes, that was actually surprising for me too, because my daughter is also not drinking that much water in a day but definitely now I will take note of this and will encourage her to drink 4-5 glasses of water daily.
Milk is an all-time favorite drink of many kids around. Moms, this is a plus point for keeping your little one hydrated. It is a good source of calcium and protein which are absolutely beneficial for physical and mental growth of kids. Scientists suggest that kids of age 4 to 8 years should drink 2.5 cups of milk a day. 1 cup serving is equal to 8 ounces.
Lemonade has my all time favorite drink. It is so refreshing and energy booster drink. It is a revitalizing drink for kids as well. To make it easy for yourself squeeze few lemons on the weekend remove the seeds and store it in the fridge. Then anytime you want to make lemonade for kids, take out the lemon juice add it to the water. Also, add sugar and just a pinch of salt. This will make it a super refreshing drink for your child. You can adjust the amount of lemon juice depending on the liking of your child.
Including dairy products, to your kids, daily diet routine is extremely essential. It may include milk, yogurt, butter, and cheese.
Yummiest of all drinks. Yes, you heard me right. I know many adults are a big fan of milkshakes including me. They are vital for keeping kids hydrated as well. You can use any seasonal fruit like banana, apple or mango to make a milkshake. Add some sugar just to make it more flavorsome for your angel. Remember not to add too much sugar, because that is not healthy.
5. Fresh Juices
Fresh juices are always a treat to beat the summer heat. Lychee, kiwi, watermelon, and black currant are few of the good choices to make fresh juice. These fresh juices are full of essential vitamins and minerals that are needed for the proper functioning of the human body. Never the less they are important hydrating drinks for kids and adults alike. Kids love it when you serve juice to them in cute cups or bottles.
